New restaurant in front of Ames Target?

A friend of mine told me that she heard a new restaurant is going in front of the Target store in Ames. She heard its going to be an Olive Garden. Just wondering if anyone on here has heard anything?

OG is kind of overrated but Ames definitely needs more eating options

Haven't heard that rumor, but if true, it is long overdue.

The only reason I don't eat at Olive Garden is their commercials. If any of my friends acted as douchey as the characters in those commercials, my fork is going in their eye.

On a side note I went to the new Italian Chop House in west Ames (The old Broiler) and thought it was very good.

Not sure if they will put an Olive Garden in Ames. They just broke ground in Ankeny west of Wal-Mart.

They're prepping the land for a strip mall type development. Not for an Olive Garden but possibly BWW.

The rain isn't helping move the project along.

I was hoping they were going to put a pancheros in the Old es tas building but looks like its going to be another mexican restaurant. We will see how long that last on welch haha. But a BWW would be awesome, or possibly a chilis, outback steakhouse, olive garden, or maybe a texas roadhouse. Those would make my day lol

There have been rumors about a BWW coming to Ames since 1998.

I heard the same rumor last week- Olive Garden going in where the furniture store in front of Target used to be. Not sure if there is any truth to it.

Yeah my friend had heard from a co-worker that the rumor was it was going to be Olive Garden but nothing set in stone. BWW would be a big hit in Ames...I'll be interested to see what the new place ends up being

I did hear that BWW was going in there. As for Olive Garden, I don't know how ANYONE would have a complaint with that place coming in. If you don't like it, at the very least you know it is sucking people away from the places you DO like to go to. Olive Garden is always full. You know there is EVER a wait at Applebees, there is not enough options in Ames.
