According to all lakers insiders that trade offer was never ever ever offered. Who in their right mind would give up Randle and Okafor plus Clarkson???? The ****?
Can someone explain to me why the 76ers are trying to ruin the NBA?
At at the end of the 2012-2013 season, they fired GM Tony DiLeo who was always able to keep them relevant with Allen Iverson, Andre Iguodala, Elton Brand, etc. Hell, he even tried Andrew Bynum who was an all-star at the time.
He was replaced by Sam Hinkie, assistant GM under Daryl Morey of the Rockets who DOES NOT TANK WHATSOEVER. He proceeds to blow up the Sixers, trading away all assists for draft picks, signing majority D-League players for relatively nothing.
With these draft picks, you'd think Hinkie could acquire some solid picks. You'd be right. Hinkie drafted the 2013-2014 ROY, but traded him for... JaVale McGee? Isaiah Canaan? Are you ******* kidding me?

George Karl has one of the weirdest resumes I've ever seen. He's only missed the playoffs 4 times in 26 seasons (includes 2014-2015 with the Kings), but he has been awful in the playoffs. In fact, in 22 playoff appearances, he has advanced past the first round just 9 times.
Overall he can help build the Kings, but I'm not sure he will ever lead them to a year in and year out contender.
To terminate a 4 year deal only 4 months in would be foolish (although not as foolish as trading Cousins for nothing).

I posted this in draft thread as well but figured id get some Laker hate here as well.
I love the lakers taking Russell number 2. This tells me they expect to get a FA big man. This could be Love, Aldridge, D. Jordan, Gasol ect. I would put my guess at either Aldridge or Jordan. I am very excited at the future lineup. Clarkson (all rookie 1st team PG that is a combo guard. Russell (kobe in 2016) who can also play either position. Wes Johnson who is decent but the lakers EXPECT to get Durant once kobe is off the books. Randall who is blowing minds around the league this offseason. Turned into a karl Malone type mid range shooter. Guy balls out. and then whatever 4/5 we pick up with T Black and Hill backing them up.
Russell is the guy I had pegged as the most upside in the draft, I really see the potential for a future headlining star at whatever team he ended up on. However he played for the big10 and so I kinda wanted to not like him. I couldn't be happier.

He's not going anywhere. It took him three full years to rehab his image the last time he left Cleveland. He's not making that mistake again.
You can't honestly think that's the reason he's doing it, right?
He makes more money opting out. He's not leaving and he couldn't possibly have more leverage than he already has.
LeBron is opting out is the news. Anything else is an opinion and the second part insinuates he has any interest in leaving. Maybe it was just the headline but there's no way to tell from your post.
He didn't opt out to leave if CLE doesn't do what he says, he's doing it to make more money.

I don't believe he is leaving either. But the rumor isn't JUST that he is opting out. It is believed he will wait to sign his new deal until he sees what other moves the front office makes.
Again, this is what is being reported, I can't see him leaving Cleveland.
That's being speculated by people who are trying to drive hits to their site.
The idea that LeBron is opting out to hold CLE hostage doesn't stand up to any logic at all.
He already has the highest leverage you could possibly have over a team, and they've been involving him in the decisions the whole way through the offseason, and the Cavs essentially have power to resign every player who wants to come back.
These narratives that are assigned to any little thing are exhausting. Even when everyone knows he isn't leaving, there has to be this extra negative light painted like there is some division or two different sides. The Cavs and LBJ are on the same side.

Speculation ranges wildly in Chicago pseudo-tabloids. If nothing else it backs up that Thibs players have always liked and respected him wherever he's been. Who knows if he has completely opposite way of dealing with front office than players.

So where's all that doom and gloom on Kevin Love going to LA or Boston that I loved hearing so much?
Boston would be a shocker considering they injured him and he's from the West coast but crazier things have happened.
