I've run it a few times so far. The Baylor/Texas game will determine if we play in the first session Thursday or the second, assuming ISU can win their last two games.

Assumes we win out and Baylor loses @ Texas this week. OU win over KU would be meaningless here. I'm not confident about winning out by the way. Very worried about dropping two straight home games.

Without the Texas over Baylor win, we will drop all the way to four even with a three way tie for 2nd.

1. Kansas (13 - 5)

If we lose our last two we will be playing on the first day. Not really. Maybe we want to play KU side of the bracket.

This is what I got when I just ran it. The Baylor @ Texas game is pretty huge this week for ISU's seed in Kansas City, although another upset along the line could throw a wrench into the mix.

I don't think it matters who we play anymore - we could win it all - or lose the first game.

It still matters a little. If we play West Virginia we will beat them and hopefully get something going. If we play Baylor round 1 we are pretty much ****ed. WVU's favors us more than it favors them sometimes, while Baylor's style play right into our weaknesses.

I've run a couple of different options and I really kind of like where ISU will be in the Big XII tourny. It actually could be very similar to last years tournament. Every option I ran had ISU and Baylor on opposite sides, mostly ISU as the 4 seed against WVU which should be a good match up for us. Even the option where we were the two seed Baylor flipped to the 4 seed which would be good as either Baylor or KU would be out. It really comes down to would we rather most likely see OU or KU in the semis?

After a great Monday night for ISU (Clones win and Baylor loses), I have:

1. Kansas (13 - 5)
2. Iowa State (12 - 6) Defeated Oklahoma based on record against #6 teams.
3. Oklahoma (12 - 6) Lost to Iowa State based on record against #6 teams.
4. Baylor (11 - 7) Defeated West Virginia based on head-to-head record.
5. West Virginia (11 - 7) Lost to Baylor based on head-to-head record.
6. Oklahoma State (8 - 10) Defeated Texas and Kansas State based on round-robin record.
7. Texas (8 - 10) Defeated Kansas State and lost to Oklahoma State based on round-robin record.
8. Kansas State (8 - 10) Lost to Oklahoma State and Texas based on round-robin record.
9. TCU (4 - 14)
10. Texas Tech (3 - 15)

To win a tie with Oklahoma, we just need to have Baylor not finish ahead of West Virginia. They can tie and we still get the #2 seed with a win over TCU on Saturday. Just need WVU to win one more game. Ideally @ KU (then we're still alive for a share of the title) but also vs. OSU a possibility.

I was just thinking about this.

If ISU beats TCU, Kansas loses out, and WVU beats Okie St. at home, this scenario happens.

If WVU beats Kansas tomorrow (longshot), then there's a decent chance this happens.

God I do NOT want to play Texas first but it's very likely going to happen. Unless...Kansas state wins there this week then Texas is 8 seed. I just don't want them needing one more big win to make the tourney.

I could see KSU pulling it off. Suddenly they're playing for at large tourney hopes as well.

No they are not. Only hope they have is winning the Big 12 tourney. That being said, winning on Saturday would put KSU in the 6th seed, which makes winning the tourney 1 day easier.
