KCCI just sent a notification through their app that storms producing large hail and damaging winds are approaching the metro. I have not seen a single thing anywhere that says they storms are severe in any way. KCCI is such a click bait *****.

Where's all the weathermen on here now? Don't tell me you're actually working.
And to whomever posted about them hyping things up to get you to download the app you do realize the weather can be substantially different just a county it two apart.

I understand a county or two.. But Plymouth, Ida, and other extreme nw Iowa counties where the worst hit isnt that close to Ames and Des Moines were the worst was predicted at one time. The "storm" rolled through Norwalk left little rain and now clearing up.
Hardly worth all the hype for the last 5 days. I know things move and change course, but it seems we sometimes over hype things with words like severe tornadic event possible.
DSM to Ames Metro will see another round b/t 7-9pm with severe potential of large hail/damaging winds. #iawx

5:00 pm Sunday and it looks like the threat for severe storms has diminished. Enjoy your Mother's Day http://t.co/o7kViScwJ5
