****Mizzou Predictions****

I see a win and much foul trouble for Mizzou.

And I have much respect for 21 on this. Man keeps starting this discussion no matter how much flack he took, even as a virtually lone voice in the wilderness. Way to keep the fire burning!

I have the feeling that if either Chris is shooting well.. whether it be Allen or Babb then we will win this game. I am confident that Royce will once again be a dominating factor. We just need to hit our open shots

History tells us that he will melt down if we lose, or if we are behind for a while. You should know history.

Each team will have at least a scoring drought and a rally. Hilton Magic: Restored!

Should we lose this one, just remember that the season is young and there are plenty of opportunities to rebound. A "W" against KU would put us right back into the thick of the race.

I'm going to take a different tack on this game. Misery will go on some runs and get some press TO's, fast break baskets and dagger 3's. If the Hilton crowd lets these get them out of the game, Misery runs away with it. If the Hilton crowd of old that would just up the ante when the team needs it most shows up, Misery folds in foul trouble and ISU wins in a close one.

This game feels an awful lot like the Texas game this year in football. Kind like winning it shows that the team has taken another big step. I don't think this team is up to the challenge just yet. I do think we'll be a NCAA bubble team (on the outside looking in) and get a win against someone solid (Baylor, Mizzou, or Kansas), just not yet.

I picked that score against texas and seemed to work well

I doubt English will guard White much. Royce should be able to dominate him in the paint. I expect we may go small with Ejim playing the 4 quite a bit. He matches up well with English, and then you have White v Ratliffe/Moore. If we get in a flow offensively he should get 10 fouls from those two. I'd like to see him taking them off the dribble from the top of the key. As long as he properly identifies the double, that should work well.

I think the biggest key to the game is to not give up easy points off of turnovers in the press and in transition. I'm not too worried about our offense (as long as we don't go cold from 3) or half-court defense.

I also think, coming off a loss, the best thing we can do is to make an early run. Get up 6-10 points early, and they may just roll over (like they did against KSU).

I think this is the first time we see a serious game plan designed to stop White's penetration. The scary thing is that Mizzou has the quickness to bother White's dribbling and that could frustrate our offense.

This game could go either way. I think we win 84-79.

(FWIW, Kenpom has rated ISU-Mizzou as the most exciting game on Wed. and is predicting a Mizzou win 80-74.)

I think Mizzou comes out tuff as rain and gets a double digit lead in the first half. They will then wear down and get into foul trouble and we make a big run.

We win or atleast have a chance of winning if we keep missouri from getting a fast start on us. Missouri lives off of getting teams down by 10-15 points in the first 10 or so minutes of play. If we can stay with them and slow them down and ware them out a little i think we have a good shot but if we try to go up and down in the first half with these guys it could get ugly.

This team has confidence and Hilton will be rocking so I wanna say we win 76-72 BUT i just have that bad feeling that missouri will win because of how GOOD their guards are. So i think missouri wins 78-67

Any news on how many tickets have been sold? I hope it will be packed and loud as ever, as a crowd we can make a big difference in this game if we show up, and are loud.

Also I am not sure if this has been posted but Mizzou only has 2 scholarship players over 6'6", if we can pound the ball down low and get there 2 big men in foul trouble we should have a huge advantage on the boards.

We can't shoot free throws to save our life. Can't win this game without getting those free points from the stripe. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we lose this hard-fought game.
