****Mizzou Predictions****

I Paul Janssen reffing? If so, I may need to rethink my prediction. I think we win going away. Mizzou has some horses...just not many of them.

Clones by 15. I actually think this is an easy win. Missouri has been exposed.

I think we win. They have a history of being a terrible road team. Only won one away conference game last season (unfortunately, it was against us), and have only played two true road games thus far this season. They were losing at half but came back to beat an 8-8 ODU team by 7, and got destroyed in the Octagon of Gloom the other day.

Gonna need to wear them down and get them into foul trouble inside. Another dominant performance from Royce would be huge.

I'll go with State 73, Mizz 68.

That said, I am a bit worried we'll get ourselves all hyped up only to have things come crashing down around us like the Texas football game...

Any news on how many tickets have been sold? I hope it will be packed and loud as ever, as a crowd we can make a big difference in this game if we show up, and are loud.

I pick
ISU 76
Mizzou 71

Still a lot available on Cyclones.com. 1,009, if my addition is correct. That equals a paid attendance of 13,347. Might sell a few hundred more Tuesday and Wednesday, and in walk-up sales. Doubt it sells out, though.

Should be a good crowd as far as actual attendance though. Probably 12,000+ actually there, with a full CA. Get off to a good start Wednesday night, and Hilton will rock like it hasn't in many, many years. Would be fitting for the Magic to be reborn in the final game against the opponent we played when it made its first appearance.

1. Royce has to get them to foul downlow.
2. We have to shoot better than 40% from 3 point and 75% from free throws.
3. Hilton Magic needs to be in full force.

While I agree we need to go low, I hope RW dunks it and then gets fouled. Otherwise it will be the old, hacka shaq. I don't have faith in his free-throws carrying us.

One team that can't play Hack-a-Shaq is Missouri. They only have 7 players available to them so collecting fouls intentionally is a very bad idea.

Cyclones by 6. I think the Tigers will stuggle in Hilton much like the Longhorns did.

This game feels an awful lot like the Texas game this year in football. Kind like winning it shows that the team has taken another big step. I don't think this team is up to the challenge just yet. I do think we'll be a NCAA bubble team (on the outside looking in) and get a win against someone solid (Baylor, Mizzou, or Kansas), just not yet.

Mizzou 76
ISU 68

Very true about a similar feeling as the UT FB game.

I was under the impression that they only had 7 scholarship players. They still have scrubs they can sub in and out at the end of the game (or even at other times for that matter) to hack him and send him to the line.

Ask Tim Floyd how this works.:spinny:

We need to refs from the Texas game to win!

ISU comes back to reality and Mizzou wins by 15...I would love to eat crow.

I know it's just one person's opinion but how in the world can you justify that prediction? We always seem to play Missouri tough at home, even when we've had down years. Take into account you have 2 teams coming off completely opposite outcomes, the game being played at Hilton with the students back (it was loud last week even without them), and Missouri's roster limited.....I can see us losing but by 15??

as this game is getting closer I'm getting a lot more excited for it, but am starting to feel like the Texas football game, were getting national attention and some votes in the top 25 and than theres a big let down, hopefully this is different, going 3-0 into Allen field house on saturday with tons of confidence after beating a top 10 at home could be a huge confidence boost for our guys
