Watching this on NFL Network and it is bitter sweet watching this. Denny Green, Cris Carter, and John Randle were the right people to tell the story. The best season with the most heart breaking moment. That team was awesome.

I still believe that if Cunningham would not have been sacked and fumbled before half to give ATL some points, this team would be one of the best ever. Oh and Gary Anderson missing a 37 yd fg ....why oh why!

Ugh the ending is always tough to watch. Best team without a championship in the history of the NFL.

I still think if the Vikings had even made it to the Super Bowl that year, they still would have lost. Denver was just too good in 1997-1998.

Could have been the best SB ever though. That is even tough to say with the injuries the Vikings suffered against Atlanta.

I maintain that Robert Smith lost the game for the Vikings. He ran out of bounds twice during the final drive, which left enought time for the Falcons to tie the game. Vikings had a lot of injuries in that game, would have been tought to beat Denver.

I have watched all of the episodes of "Missing Rings". That Vikings one is the best one. They had one of the best teams in the history of offensive production in the NFL ever. Gary Anderson hadn't missed a single kick all year. Carter, Moss, and Reed were tough to cover/defend. It just wasn't meant to be. Carter talking at the end about not wanting to play football ever again was tough to listen to. What a great series. I hope they do several more.

I'm not a Vikes fan, but that team was great. It would have been a good Super Bowl and I think the Vikings would have had it. They were very close to an undefeated regular season and were the better team in the championship game.

Gary Anderson missing that kick is my first memory of an actual football game. I remember Randy Moss being awesome before that, but nothing specific. Should've known.
