McDermott to Creighton?

I think everyone is jumping the gun on this. Although I do think it would be good for both parties to part ways, Creighton has the ultimate say in what happens here.

Makes me wonder, why haven't they taken down the fire-paul-rhoads site.

Perhaps they know that this latter site would never be taken seriously. After all, Paul Rhoads is a proven winner, with wins at Nebraska and over a legitimate BCS opponent in a bowl game. However, the former site was more than a nuisance, as Greg McDermott is a proven loser (no more than 15 wins in any season at the BCS level), so perhaps the site was drawing a bit too much attention to the ISU athletic department's unaddressed problems in this area.

I love having CPR but calling him a proven winner because of the NU FLUKE and beating an iffy Minny team is a stretch.

Wow. And you go after people for being negative on McDermott? We could easily have lost those 2 games, yes.

We also could have easily won BIG against KSU if we had we not been without A-Rob most of the game, and also came damn close at KU. Probably as close to 9 wins as we were to 5.

Ok, without having to read through 16 pages, can someone summerize for me? Is there some smoke to this?

With that question asked, I can't imagine ANY D-I team in the country hiring Gmac at this point. Creighton has a decent program rolling, and despite his success at UNI, why would you hire this guy?

well, Altman was KSU's garbage so they do have a track record of successfully recycling trash.

Go back to page four......there's a link to sportstalkmatt's twitter page(yes I know people don't like matt), he runs the Creighton talk site and he said GMAC is a target and said he is interested. Take that for what it's worth....

I agree........heart and turnovers won out!!!!

That one was lucky, where that idiot, I mean, Husker. No, idiot fumbled while running over the 5 yard line. That's one lucky one. But the heart we showed in that game tells me we get a score to make up for it.

No matter what, a guy that doesn't want us to complain about basketball knocks our bowl-winning team. Can't really be doing that with a team that made us prouder than we ever thought it could.

If I am Pollard (and I'm not) I've already been on the phone with Larry. He has rehabbed. He brings excitement and media exposure. He has a PROVEN track record for cutting down nets.

Why not Larry?

The only thing I am worried about with him is media perception. Would hate to have a bad image out there while he is recruiting, even though he has changed. Would not be opposed to a second chance.

at least we would get media attention back. Bad media is better than no media. And it would be a sweet kick in the nads to that DB Keeler.

During tonight's 6 o'clock news, ABC 5's sports department reported that Creighton athletic director Bruce Rasmussen has been spotted in Des Moines today. They did not report why he was in town and they do not know at this point.

This is just an FYI type of deal IMO. Could it be connected to Greg McDermott? Sure. It could.

Could he be in town for some sort of a business meeting tomorrow? That too is very possible. The timing is odd but again, this could be nothing at all.

ABC 5 sports will touch on this again during their 10 o'clock newscast tonight.
