Maybe not this round, but the next one ??

If we end up with 4 super conferences with this round of Conference shake ups, in 8 - 12 years will we end up with 1 SUPER conference?

Put:
Texas
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Florida
U. Southern Cal

and about 5 to 8 more.

Then just have 1 big "SUPER" conference. They would have the major TV Deal and leave the rest behind.


If money is driving this, that would seem to be the natural progression.

In one super conference of 10 teams, presuming they play a conference schedule, some of them will inevitably wind up with awful records. Those schools are always going to need the ISUs and Baylors of the world to pad their W/L column.

I think we are working towards that. If I was Iowa I wouldn't be thumping my chest too hard. They may yet go down in 10-20years.
