I for one, am pumped. Hopefully he'll be able to return to form and send the Dodger's from the best record in the majors to the World Series champions.

Anybody out there have an opinion as to how his return will impact Big Blue?

i think they will continue to roll. i am somewhat surprised LA has played so well without him. the way SF and Col are playing right now, it's good to get another bat back. i think LA has only hit 8 hr's in the last month.

It can only help the Dodgers. Manny is used to drama so I don't think all of the extra attention he'll be getting will distract him. He makes everyone in that lineup a better hitter, especially Andre Ethier.

If pitching can continue to be as great as they've been all season, I would think the Dodgers should run away with the West and be the favorite to be the NL representative in the World Series.

Funny - but I learned something here... This has been a big story on ESPN and in the national media. But there was not a previous thread on this topic (that I could find), and the only responders are Dodgers and Red Sox fans.

Wonder why? GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting ESPN piece. It's terrible to celebrate the return of Manny Ramirez - ESPN

Love this from Conan:

"Manny Ramirez is playing for a Triple-A minor league baseball team while he serves out his suspension for using female fertility drugs. So far, Manny's gone hitless. But in Manny's defense, it is that time of month."

Looks like Manny's presence is already helping. The Blue Crew scored more runs in the first inning than they have in the last 3 games.

It's going to look bad in his first game in LA when he gets a standing ovation.
