The cheap shot on Broomfield was bad enough. I have no words for Mack Brown going ballistic trying to defend such a horrible act by one of his players.

I don't care if he heard the whistle or not. In fact, even if the ball had still been live, that player should have been ejected. No intent but to injure, period.

What is worse he defended him in the post game presser. He owes CPR and Broomfield an apology.

I'm sure the Big 12 will issue an apology. To Mack Brown. Stating that they apologized that one of our players impeded a Texas player's documented Chronic Falling Down Disorder.

The NCAA will then slap ISU with a 30-scholarship penalty for the next 10 years, on the grounds of "trying to rise above our station."

Mack is a desperate man right now fighting for his job. Or he's senile. This doesn't surprise me.

That was a classless, cheap shot, and if the guy had been wearing a different color uniform he would have been rejected, period.

ISU could have also been helped if the officials would have called a few of the dozen or so blatant holding calls on Texas, but well, that is yet another thing ISU needs to overcome to win.

Judging from clip of his presser, it was clear that he was clinging to his job. He almost got humiliated by a school they were supposed to dominate.

Yep. I've defended Texas. But screw them.

Just like I used to be ambivalent towards Kansas I was ambivalent towards Texas. Now I hate both schools with an unhealthy amount of hate.

I think that he did get humiliated by us and the Texas fans will let him know about it. Over on Shaggybevo, there are Texas fans that wished that we had won so that Mack would get fired sooner.

Fact is, he was humiliated by a 1-2 ISU team, the scoreboard just didn't chart it accurately. We outplayed them in every aspect of that game and 99% of the world could see this. We deserved to win that game. It's a FACT.

I spent some time over at Shaggybevo and the majority of them KNOW they got a gift. However, most of them feel like it's ANOTHER sign that Brown needs to be gone. When the refs need to bail them out SO BLATANTLY against lowly Iowa State, the wheels have come off. A lot of them just wish we they hadn't gotten bailed out. An attitude that says 'Just give me one to head please, not three or four to the chest where I suffer and bleed out for half an hour.'

It doesn't really help us at all. There's no such thing as a moral victory. We earned the right on the field where it counts. There's no justice in the world for an ISU against Texas. There just isn't.

Agreed. Horrible conduct by the entire Texas sideline all night.

Yeah, all interviews I've seen so far he has that giddy, twinkle eyed response because he know he was given a gift and may have bought more time. He basically said in one interview "scoreboard is all that matters."

Yeah, how do you NOT see that's a cheap shot? Believe me, I want coaches to stick up for their guys, but this was 15 yards from the action and clearly not practicing proper technique. I know its tough for a defender to, at full speed, adjust where they hit to not get targeting, but this was not anything like that.
