...has got to be one of the most frustrating experiences in all of college athletics. At least half the time, you have no idea what happened until as much as 15 or 20 seconds after the play takes place. Basketball, football...doesn't matter. A foul? A penalty? Incomplete? Made shot? Missed? First down? Intercepted? WHAT HAPPENED GARY? Drives me nuts.

And somebody please tell him when players on both teams have the same last name, you can't just say, "Rebound Johnson." :arghh:

Why are you listening to Dolphin?

I can't pick up the Iowa State broadcast where I am. I can get Dolphin on 14 stations, though. Just reminds me of listening to Iowa football games this year and struggling to figure out what the heck was happening.

And I don't have ESPNU.

Gary said, "A win by the Cyclones today will all but lock up the Cy-Hawk Series for Iowa State."

He's a little slow calling that competition, too.

You need to get Yahoo sports, its only $5 bucks a month and you can listen to John and Eric anytime you want online, because every football, womens basketball and mens basketball game is archived after they are presented live. Even the coaches shows on Monday nights are archived too.

I usually listen to the 1600 am feed out of CR. Today, I wanted it all over the house, though, so I listened to goofball. I need to hook the PC up to the stereo.

I've got a bit of a bias after listening to him for so long to his play-by-play for football games in Iowa City, but he is definitely showing his age. Probably easier for him to do a football game than keeping up with the fast pace of basketball.

Listening to the game on local radio in Eastern Iowa while driving today. I agree 100% Dolphin is so frustrating! Help us JP!

I'd rather walk out to the garage, start my lawnmower, run it over a box of 8D nails -

listen to that for 2 hours and guess the score....

You people need to be careful even if the Iowa broadcast is the only one available.

Listening to Gary Dolphin for too long has been shown to cause insomnia and in some cases dementia.

Well, you only have 1 more game to listen to Dolphin this year for the bowl game, oh, nevermind.

I HEAR you!!! Once again we're without ISU radio coverage in eastern Iowa!!! 300,000 people in the Quad Cities, and we can listen to Iowa on 5 different stations. And please don't suggest listening online because I was outdoors attempting to get some work done. Jamie may be a god to some, but until he addresses the lack of ISU coverage in eastern Iowa, he's just a mere mortal. Brucey boy didn't get it done...hopefully Pollard can.

To his credit, Gary is mentally disabled. By definition, anyone who doesn't hate the hawks is a little slow, and to be an actual hawkfan makes you pretty stupid. So, someone who makes their entire living off of being a hawkfan makes Corky from "Life Goes On." look like Albert Einstein.
