The Register picked up on an internet article listing the "lewd-sounding" town names in the US. Pretty funny (especially if you are 12
when you scan the country to see selections from each state. I think Iowa represents well although someone needs to tell both authors that Beaverdale is a neighborhood in Des Moines, not a town itself. ( Excusable from a national source, not-so-much when the "local" paper doesn't know enough to correct (or at least acknowledge) the error...

Someone has a dirty mind. The folks over at Estately just couldn’t get enough of goofy town names nationwide. Earlier this month, the real estate site posted the oddest town names. Now, it’s exploring lewd-sounding town names.
And in Iowa, that honor goes to Balltown, population 68, north of Dubuque and home to James Beard Foundation America’s Classic winner and the oldes
