Lepin instead of Lego

the pieces dont fit quite the same (maybe 8/10 compared to lego) but unless you're planning on selling the sets later it shouldn't matter. we've bought a few lepin sets and super glued tricky pieces together but they've been great for us.
I prefer to support companies that don't blatantly steal intellectual property, but that's just me.

Zero. I just think that if you want companies to act ethically, you shouldn't give money to those that don't. But if you are OK with companies violating laws to save you a dollar or two....

Lol. I am honestly awed by the sheer balls of it. "Star Plan" is uninspired, but that's what you would expect out of a knockoff.
To name your product "Star Wnrs" on the other hand, takes cajones. WNRS isn't even a word. It's like walking into the Lego corporate office and slapping your **** on the table. No wonder Lego sued. You can't let that kind of thing slide

They also have many different stadiums to choose from both professional and college level.
This is for my daughter who is a senior in HS and likely going to ISU and likely going to try to be in the marching band so this is perfect.

The pieces are incredibly tiny (think about 1/3 width of Lego) and are not the same sizing consistency of Lego, but it's together damnit. It certainly challenges your patience and extreme fine motor skills.
I have both of these - got them as birthday/Christmas presents last year. Yes they are a PITA to put together primarily because of the super small bricks. SUPER small. And the instructions aren't as clear as Lego. But they're together now and I love them. My finger tips were sore for a day.I did this one last year.

It's over 3,000 tiny pieces and the instructions are very difficult to follow need 20/20 vision with or without correction to be able to follow them. But it's done now and looks pretty good. Took me multiple weeknights of working on it for a couple hours and half of a Saturday to do it.
If you do go this route I would 100% take the time to open all of the bags of pieces, one at a time, and sort them. This will take a long time but will end up making the process less irritating. Also, make sure you are putting pieces in the correct spot. They are a major pain to take apart.
The finished product is quite small. But if it will be in a dorm room it would be great for that.
I've kept the instructions and plan to buy the 3,000+ pieces needed to build the stadium out of lego but that will cost an exorbitant amount of money for the pieces.
