Does anyone know if there is a big difference between the Scotts brand lawn fertilizer and the Menards brand? The Mendards brand seems to be about 1/4 of the price of Scotts. Is Scotts worth the extra money?

I've been using the Menard's brand and have been happy with it. No difference that I can tell.

There is a 3rd brand that Menards sells and i havent been to happy with that one. It looks just like the Menards brands, the color of the bag at least, just bigger. I like the Menards brand as well.

As long as the Analysis is the same (ie 15-15-15) they are required by law to have the same nutrient value. The difference would be the quality of fertilizer. Some nitrogen is time release encapsulated. The capsule will dissolve with heat and release nitrogen.

Grow a pair and do 1/2 your lawn with one and 1/2 with the other. (don't )

I ran out of my scotts bag and so I used the generic menards brand instead to finish the lawn. You couldn't tell where the bag changed over. I will never buy the Scotts again.

I have used Menards before and been pleased with it, but I can tell you the generic I've been most pleased with over the years is Kmart's K-Gro brand.
