Kirk Korver passed away

I read that the youngest of the Korver brothers, Kirk (age 27) passed away. He was from Pella and played for UMKC. The Cavaliers released a statement that Kyle would be leaving the team to be with the family etc.

The Cavaliers released a statement that Kyle would be leaving the team to be with the family etc. No details released which makes me think it wasn't natural causes. Very sad - I've always heard such good things about that family.

ESPN is reporting Korver's leave of the Cavs for a "family medical emergency."

He had liver failure, they were hoping for a liver transplant but one didn't come in time.

We didn't know them, but his dad has been very kind to members of my family in Pella. This sucks.

I attended the Korver family's church during my two years at Central. Great people to be around. Prayers to the family.
