I don’t think it’s fair to make these type of statements without any additional facts. Nobody has any additional context to what’s going on there
True, it's possible Cooper told DR I'm staying but I would like to give you the opportunity to find me opportunities prior to me committing to you as my agent. Unlikely but possible.

I would encourage you all not to freak out. Many of these future NFL players are allowed to have representation from NFL agents while in college, which then helps in maintaining relationships once they are NFL players. Buy an Ames Lager and know we're doing all we can.
I’d like to still irrationally panic if that’s ok

Don't get mad at the players for playing the game the way it is today, and not the way it was 30 years ago.

I don’t blame the players at all. But when college football loses their fans because of this movement, the schools better not act surprised. The NFL at least has rules around player movement because they know a free for all doesn’t work.

Yep. Probably not good cause Drew Rosenhaus will fight for top dollar.

Move on to retaining Brahmer

If they have professional sports agents representing them then it's a pro league

Obvious. Yes, but there is no way to say this is student athlete stuff.

Put the players on the payroll and just end this charade

Doesn't mean he's leaving, but certainly means he's looking. Iowa State can't keep up with the big dogs in NIL so I'm not sure why you would agree to give someone a piece of a smaller pie if you 100% planned to stay.
Good lord.

If healthy all season he’d might still be the national leader in picks. He’s a playmaker and an exciting player. With some extra muscle mass, has a chance to be a high round draft pick.

Signing with an agency gives him a shot for them to connect him with national level advertisers, not just local folks like the (always appreciated) Iowa Pork Producers.

I often wonder if people would feel differently about NIL if say ISU had Georgia’s budget and could target any roster need with a blank check.

I think it should be fine to hire an agent to negotiate your endorsement deals with private companies and stuff like that, but it seems ridiculous to be allowed to hire an agent to solicit market offers from schools interested in paying you to transfer to their team.
