doesn't matter b/c if ISU can't win more than 2-3 games a year they will not build it. JP already said they need to win games before the fans will come and use the additional seats. Plus the economy is bad so the donations are drying up.

Putting the cart way ahead of the horse here. The regular bowl is suppose to make 50000 seats plus 5000 in the north grass. The seats are not a way to increase capacity just increase seats so they can sell the tickets for a higer price, if I understand it correctly. No idea on the upper deck and not sure if they even have looked at that.

There is no way that the hillsides ever hold that many people. It is way way to unorganized, kind of like an unorganized parking lot on grass or gravel. You can get more cars in an area when there are stripes then letting people self park, the same goes for the grass area but it is even less efficient.

I have done some head counting of various full games for the hillsides and there are at best 600-700 on each or 2400-2800 total. That number is probably tickets alloted with people moving around or kids throwing the football.

My guess is that the endzone will look like KSU's Bowled in Endzone. It will not increase capacity, but it will look more like a Big 12 Stadium should. This is great project and one that ISU must do in the next few years.

people worry about the look of the stadium rather than the skill of our team.

My god people he was just asking a question, I just think it's funny people just have to keep bringing up the fact that we are bad like we can't see that.

Then how did over 55,000 get in when there were only 45,800 actual seats?

I don't know, but they weren't there, plus on the west side they have cut it down more with the handicap ramps. Its interesting the things you do when the FB team isn't performing. I find that counting people is kind of relaxing.

Which games did you "count" all of these people at?

Just once this year, SW corner only, looked at detailed crisp aerial photos of games before too. We were so bad could have done it for all of the games.

Are there any example pictures of what JC will look like when complete? Or, other schools that might have a similar looking stadium? Thanks.

UNI 2007.
56,795 people.
45,800 actual seats.

By your "estimation", there could be no more than 3,000 people total on the hillsides. That would leave 8,000 folks who apparently either all hovered for 3 hours, or stood in the concourse area unable to see the game.

Or, just maybe, all 11,000 were actually on the hillsides.
