My wife decided she wanted to start downloading music from iTunes. We've had an Ipod for years but we've always just ripped the CDs we owned into .mp3 format. The other day, she downloaded a bunch of songs and it worked well. But, she wants to make a compilation CD and I can't get some of the formats to be recognized by my burning software (Nero). I'm assuming this is becasue of DRM coding, right? So how can I burn .m4p (this is the only format not recognized) to a CD compilation??

Use Itunes to burn the disc.

#1 create a playlist with all the songs you want

#2 Insert a blank disc and click Burn Disc.

#3 Select MP3 CD as the Disc Format and click OK.

BTW-Itunes has removed DRM for any songs bought in the last week and everything forward. If you bought some songs before this time they will charge you .30 a piece to un-drm them.

If the songs have DRM on them then you'll only be able to burn them as WAV format.

That all sounds really easy. But on my iTunes, I don't see any option to Burn a disc. Maybe I'm just and idiot but I can't find that anywhere.

New playlist comes off the file menu. (Drag and drop songs on it)

Click on the playlist, on the bottom right should be the "Burn" button after you insert a blank CD.

Oops. I had clicked "New Playlist Folder" which wouldn't let me add songs. I think I've got this working now. I see the burn disc option now in the playlist folder.

Thanks.

What he said. I hate using to Itunes to burn CDs as all of them that I do burn tend to have minor issues, but, its the price you pay for using Itunes to get your music.
