Just upgraded to itunes 8 and now it will not open when I click on it. It acts like it is going to open, but doesn't. No error message. Seems to be a common issue.. anyone else having this problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

May want to can your icon on your desktop and create a new one, if you are launching from that. They must change their startup file location or something regularly, because that will often go dead for me.
If that doesn't work, try rebooting and then reinstalling.
mine has done that a few time, but ive found out that it still opens in the system tray. if that is the case, just click on the icon in the tray and it should open up
mine does that to when I update it. I've found that by deleting the desktop icon. Then restarting my computer and then dragging from the start menu the itunes file over and opening it up on my desktop that it seems to work.. hope that helps
