Lol. Dude, it's a message board. If you're looking for factual information, you're in the wrong spot. This is a place to air out your thoughts and spit ball ideas, among other things.

Are there trolls, and fans that take it to the extreme? Absolutely, but you just need to weed thru the bs.

Williams was make or break for next year? I liked the kid as much as anyone but come on. You have zero idea how Diallo was affected, if at all.
 
Lets take a deep breath!!

Some folks should relax and see what happens over the next month. The staff has invested a lot of effort in the class of 2016, I am optimistic that will pay off.

I think Williams not coming means we go hard after a transfer post that must sit next year as its not typically a good idea to rely on frosh to start. My guess having TJ back on the staff means we go hard after prep school kids again.

I don't see any panic for next fall, we can offer a postngrad transfer or JUCO 20-25 mpg behind McKay and Niang.

I just want to know what you think the signs are that points to Fred leaving for the NBA sooner than later.
And no, you cannot say he interviewed with GS (last year) because that was already proven false with direct quotes from the GS front office.

Please provide at least 2 examples with facts and links to back up statement.

Or, you could just save face and say you just have a hunch based on nothing and go from there.

I'm sure that Hoiberg values Matt Thomas and his opinion but I don't think he has any say when it comes to recruiting.

And I'm pretty sure that Hoiberg is Danish. Coincidence? Me thinks not.
 
So has anyone spun this positively yet? I mean maybe Fred told Williams that Diallo is coming to IA St and that there won't be much playing time at the 3 with Nader Niang and guards getting that time! #ThinkHappyThoughts

Maybe but I doubt this is the case. Did Williams ever give a reasoning why he was leaving?

I do have a hunch Dave. Have you ever had a hunch Dave? Is that ok Dave?

But it it's also based on the state of the program. A lot more negative than positive lately.

Just because the tards on here are negative doesn't mean the state of the program is more negative.
 
I think Fred is here until his kids graduate...at least. The NBA is always going to want a coach like Fred...that's never going to change. It's not like Fred is starving to death in Ames...or he's worried about job security. His quality of life isn't going to be what it is anywhere else.

I could be wrong...but I'd bet I'm not.

I think TJ is back because Fred clearly valued him (making him a priority to stay on board when hired) and had a chance to get him back. I think you always hire back a known person when they're highly qualified. I'm also guessing TJ told him how much they missed Ames...it's not like everyone wants to live in Iowa.

Getting upset by UAB and losing an assistant coach to his alma mater are the only other negatives I can think of. What am I forgetting?
