Its going to be real shady if he ends up at St Johns. Did Fred put any restrictions on the release?

Not publicly.

If he goes to St.J, Abdelmassih was a bigger asset than thought...you need ruthless, self-servingness in CBB recruiting.

Matt alluded to thinking he will work for Fred again. Hopefully Fred leverages that hope of Matt's.

Not worried. I feel like some of you may be overreacting.

We're going all in for next year because with 1 or 2 more right pieces, we've got a chance to be great.

What sign suggests anything about going all in for next year? Williams was going to help next year and we already had three to give. Diallo, one of our best chances of getting a difference makers for next year is out. We hired an assistant that does not get us an "in" with any impact guys for next year.

Honestly, this just says we have horrible luck in having stability and received a couple blows from our main recruiter leaving.

Perhaps you could link said facts?

Link, smartas*?

There were informal talks, never a formal interview.
"I think we got a pretty early indication from Fred that he was happy where he was," Myers said. "We weren't the first team to kind of at least put a phone call in. Mine was much more informal from our side.
"It was just because I have a previous relationship with him, so it wasn't anything formal.
"I think it would take something pretty special for him to want to leave, would be my guess."

And again, this was last spring.

Say it ain't so! Can't be fact; it's counter-intuitive to my Cyclone colored glasses!

Bummed about this, think he will be a solid player, was looking forward to him As a cyclone

For a program that was ranked top 20 all year we've sure had a lot of negative news. Very few positive news too, if any.

If Matt leaving was the reason he didn't want too be in Ames and the only reason he was coming, he didn't want too be here. Onto the next guys... stop freaking out

Damn, this one will hurt. We need all the size we can get. Hopeful for a transfer or something, not very optimistic regarding Diallo. Thanks MA :realmad:
