ISU vs WVU Postgame

Was driving back from Omaha and almost turned that game off 2 or 3 times. I decided it was the last game of the season and dang was going to be a true fan and listen to it to the bitter end. Man what a surprise! Pulled into Smokey D's for supper in Des Moines and got to watch the OT's. Felt like throttling a Hawk fan there who was grumbling that we were acting like this was the Super Bowl when all the ISU fans cheered during the OT. What a game. Very happy I did not turn the radio off! Really happy for the team!!!!

You all do realize we are undefeated since the Tellatubbie gals showed up!

True, this.

Watched first half. Drove to church listening to part of third quarter. Had to go in for my niece's baptism losing 31-14 with WV ON OUR 11. Game over after church and missed it. Replay of the game scheduled yet?

also, my niece is getting baptized every Saturday next fall if that is what it takes.

One of my favorite highlights came after the field goal kick bounced off the upright, and they showed CPR's reaction in slo-mo: "Are you f-ing kidding me?!"

On CPR show, talking about Netten being clutch at the end, but he smiled and said, "we may have had a fake fg ready, but the down and distance wasn't right"

I had a feeling we may see one, glad we didn't need it.

I think I figured it out. The guy who was murdered was a spy for every other team we played. Luckily, CPR had him taken care of. Kansas was playing so poorly because the Teletubbies were distracting him for spying on us. I still haven't figured out how the Illinois chick was involved, but she was definitely in on it some how.

This is still my most favorite football game ever. I liked the part where our guys didn't give up and won. I have probably watched this game in entirety about 10-15 times since last November.

While it was a great game, it's lack of importance really knocks it below a decent number of games for me for favorites.

May not be one of your favs but to say it lacked importance is a narrrow view. This was the largest comeback victory in major college footall last year and was extremely important for the psyche of the program heading into the offseason. The returning players that experienced it will be stonger for it. I'm glad they didn't share your sentiment the the game was not important.

I'd be willing to bet that no matter how last season ended, the team would be just as motivated and hungry this year.

But, this is an argument neither of us will ever win, as there's no way of knowing per sure.

I, too, liked the part where we won. It really adds to the overall enjoyment.
