I nearly ruined Justin Kay's championship speech at the IMCA banquet when I got a text about the game. Made the weekend especially because Bama lost in epic fashion also at the same time

I can't say I hold a super special place in my heart for that game, as it was a VERY forgettable season...but it was a great ending to the year that I think the fanbase and player probably deserved though.

Although when Clint Eastwood is about to shoot Gene Hackman in the face at the end of The Unforgiven, he tells Gene that "Deserve's got nothin' to do with it".

They played hard in an ultra-meaningless game and things fell their way.

I listened to the majority of this game on the radio at my wife's family farm. When we got down big (24 points?) I shut it off and drove back into town. When I got to town I turned the game on the tv and saw we were only down 7. I was pleasantly surprised.
