Where has this team been? I would like to know- I couldn't watch last night but going to fire up espn+ look at this one for sure. One more big one to get into the tourney because TCU loss was bad.

Watched the match and didn't want to post for fear of jinxing the team. All I can say is there is plenty of talented at positions-consistency and service errors need to be the focus.

And thank you, Eleanor Holthaus. I still hold the autographed mini-volleyball she tossed to me as one of my favorite Cyclone tchotchkes.

We have tickets but decided not to go because of the late start and having work to do. Kind of fun to watch and listen in TV. We’re raising eyebrows with our play so far.
Same here The 8 PM kept us away but, what a win to watch on TV

Wow- 1st set the serve was great- The block was even better and EH hit .469 that is insane. Duckworth passed the ball with efficiency which is huge since teams go at her.

set 2
Duckworth show- Great roll shot, swipe off the block huge and her two solos were momentum changers. Mitchell was great on the block too. Stonestreet was digging it- 7 blocks total set 2

Set 3
Revert to type hit .194 Thomas only bright spot-

Set4
13-11 huge dig and Duckworth kill-
Brandt with a couple FR setter errors but you have to like the aggression and confidence to try it. Mitchell was good again. I know someone mentioned service errors but it was either serve tough and put up with the errors or watch Baylor run the 31 and fix the floor once Talbert made hole in it.

Great win!
I hate this VB saying but USE IT!

Got to admit I figured I’d watch the first set then and be done. Where has this team been? Maybe CJL really has been trying too find the right combinations. Whatever, she found them last night. Still need to clean up the service errors, but the play like this at Manhattan this week and I’ll take back everything I have groaned about this team
The groaning stands. Got swept at Manhattan.

I did not watch the KSU match but after checking the box score, I noticed Aliyah Carter for KSU only played one set and didn’t start. Is she injured?

Also noticed a 6-0 true freshmen OH from Lincoln absolutely lit us up today.

Depends on what you like. I like men's more because there is more athleticism and insane plays, though rallies are usually shorter in men's
Honestly same! Prefer the men's side. Cool to see the crazy athleticism. Sad ISU will probably never have a men's team...would honestly have a better chance at adding Women's Beach but even that is relatively unlikely. The Longhorns are likely adding beach as a way to help ensure they continue to recruit competitive players.

Honestly, the only way to add a men's team is to add another women's sport too. If Iowa State gets a huge influx of cash at some point, adding men's indoor and women's beach could be a possibility. I don't expect that anytime in the near future though.
