If KU wins were vacated and the 2015 Big 12 title actually was shared between Oklahoma and Iowa State... yeah I think people in Ames would care. We'd hang a banner in Hilton and sell some t-shirts.

The same nothing will happen that will happen at North Carolina. The NC deal was institutionalized and still nothing. They only do a Cam Newton thing once every 10 years after the fact to look like they don't cater to the powers.

we won't hear much on this. While he's gone full Sargent Shultz in the media, I believe Self is actually pulling all the strings on this, right down to instructing Cliff's parents to hunker down and stay silent.

Regardless of outcome, doesn't surprise me. I feel bad for the kid, once again the parents/boosters/sharks take advantage of anb18 year old. At least that's how it looks, maybe Cliff is dirty too. We might never know, the Alexanders, KU and Self are all layered up to the max.
Great season for them, lousy way to end it.

All of these guys know what the rules are and shouldn't get a pass for being "taken advantage of".

Taking out a loan based on possible future earnings is effing stupid for the athlete. NOTHING is guaranteed. You could be an NBA star or you could get hurt during your Freshman year and never make any money playing basketball. In the latter situation you still have to pay back the loan but without your NBA money.

These rules were put in place both to keep the NCAA playing field fair AND to protect the athlete.

I hope Cliff and KU get the full set of sanctions but we all know they wont. Which sucks.
