IPOD Movies

Looking to take advantage of downloading some movies onto my IPOD for the first time.

Where do you guys download your movies?

itunes. Or there is software to convert home movies to iPod format if you have any of those.

How much does iTunes charge for movies? and can you do anything else with the movie or is it basically stuck on your iPod?

I never load anything directly to my iPod - everything gets saved to my computer - or more specifically, my external hard drive - before I put anything on my iPod. That way if some unforeseen thing happens to my iPod, I still have all those downloads without having to pay for them again. Plus it gives you the added bonus of being able to be played on the computer, burned to CD/DVD, etc.

It has to be saved to a different location or when you try and sync your iPod it will get deleted...you will always have a backup. If your iPod is messed up, the files should all still be on the external hard drive or else they're going to be gone when you sync. Same as if your computer crashes (know from experience). I have all my files backed up on my iPod, so I just have to drag them off my iPod back onto my computer if it would decide to crash again.

It depends on the movie. I've seen anywhere from about $8.00 to $12.00 or $13.00 (for brand-new releases). The format is pretty functional only on your iPod or through iTunes.
