Why does Turbotax say they can't finish my return until Iowa updates Business Deductiin Form 2106? Said form available 2/28.

I don't have any expenses!

Is this another way for Iowa to delay any refunds?

Can't say specifically but Iowa is slow on some of their forms. I don't have anyone use that form so I've been able to file Iowa taxes no problem for my clients (I don't use Turbo Tax). Sometimes it's the states fault sometimes, the software company is slow with the last minute updates.

I currently am playing the waiting game with a Virginia Part Year Resident Form they need to finish

My assumption is the states probably work with Turbotax (and others) when all their forms are ready (whether or not you'll personally be using the one or 2 forms that are delayed. Probably an all or nothing thing for ease of business on both ends.

Without delving into politics I'm mad in general about taxes this year...

But back to the point, I'm told some of my tax documents (not from the state, K-1) won't be ready until March 1 at the earliest. They are saying they may not mail in time to meet the April filing deadline!!!
