Iowa comes to town with a 4-1 record on the season with their lone loss being to San Jose State (there's some controversy with that match and I will not dive any deeper into that...you can look it up for yourself).

Iowa State comes into this match with a 3-2 record with losses to UNLV on the road and a tough Illinois team at home.

Iowa State leads the overall series, 31-24 including two straight over the Hawks.

Get to Hilton and let's get another CyHawk win!

I watched that clip, Tyrese was a good sport but how annoying was that whole clip. I just thought it was worthless. The dude with the bobble head and Iowa chant the yelling over each other. I hope that show is better than that most days.

no... that's the show. iowa guy is very annoying.

but Tyrese was cool. We need to give him some more stats if he is ever on again. Like the one hassle shared on iowa everywhere: most of iowa's best wins have been ISU in the last few years, number of ranked teams total they play, weakest SOS due to being in the west and about to get exposed after this year where they got lucky and are basically playing a b10 west schedule this year too... etc.

Iowa put the ball down twice in the first set. We had 5 service errors and 3 hitting errors of Iowa's 10 total points. They came back in the second but this match was never in doubt. Ass Whoopin to be fair. Now I know why our middles transferred. Should be a fun season.

Iowa was also picked last in the conference in the preseason poll … sucks to be Iowa.

Bad loss yesterday for the team in getting swept by UTEP who is picked to finish 3rd in CUSA. If ISU ends up a bubble team, this match is the type that keeps them out of the NCAAs.

OHs really struggled as Gonzalez, Schmitt and Wachholz were all 0% or below with hit %s. Duckworth was only at .143. OH struggles have been a common theme in the 3 losses so far.

VB team loses again today vs Soth Dakota in 4 sets. Gonzalez was benched in what I am assuming is performance related. They play Montana St tomorrow morning. It will be interesting to see if more starters get benched in what has been a very disappointing season so far.
