The two biggest matches so far this season today and tomorrow - vs. #8 Creighton today at 4:30, and then tomorrow at 2:30 against host Wichita State.
Playing Creighton was daunting enough, but then Wichita beats the Bluejays last night...

Avery Rhodes got the start over Miranda and she is a beast at the net from what the stats show. Two solo blocks and 6 assists.

We're up 22-15 in the third, this will make it 2-1 for us.

turns out Creighton's setter injured her ankle against Wichita St. She is not playing today, they are running a 6-2 with backups instead.

We're back in the 4th. We were down 20-14, got it to 21-18 and they called timeout.

Now, we're bleeding points. They win 25-19. We go to a 5th set.

Wichita State wants to be a Power 5 school, you know what, get a streaming service for your Olympic sports. Somebody, should pick up a match like this. Man.

I watched Creighton beat KU at home in straight sets. I thought there was no way we'd be competitive today, after the loss to UNI. Nice job girls. Let's go!!

YES!!!! Cowgirl had it called. Avery had 3 big kills in the last set. It was 10-8, and she had 3 straight kills, an error on them, and then West put it away!! Awesome end to a good Cyclone day!!

serve game needs improvement, that cost us the 4th.

I will assume our passing was better seeing that Schaben, Conaway, West, and Lazard all had double digit kills. So much more from our middles today. Schaben still with the most swings but only +8 over Conaway. Against UNI I think she was pushing close to 20 swings more than the next person.

Players need to step up and take the pressure off Schaben. The setters need to know, also. Yes, she can be dominant. Our middles are great, and Bailey can be such a weapon with her left arm. Teams aren't ready for that. We should be a threat to win our conference.

It would also be nice if ISU had a radio VB play-by-play network, like even UNI has?

Yeah, I get what you're saying. How far does that radio network go for UNI? The Cyclone radio network is a big machine with a lot of moving parts. That's a call to the AD, for sure.

Our home matches are on CycloneTV, and I'm not sure they want to do more than that. If you want to see us play live, just subscribe. Then you don't need the radio, IMO.

That was the strangest match.

Conaway played OH.
Rhodes filled in and was insane.
CJL switched to and from the 6-2 countless times.

All-in-all a neutral win over a top 10 team after suffering our first loss earlier this week.
