Like Aggie said, it was so they could sponsor the new, cool and much better Iowa-Nebraska rivalry game. Incidentally, I wonder what awesome trophy they will come up with. Maybe it'll be the old CyHawk trophy, but with Cy crossed out and replaced with whatever it is Nebraska's mascot is.

I still like my "Corn Cup" idea and would have been great interim trophy IMO. The "Corn Belt" idea the best idea.
