installing a flat screen tv...

...on the wall help. has anyone done this? we just ordered a 52" LCD and it will benefit us the most to hang it on the wall. I have a feeling that it's not like hanging a picture and the thought of it falling makes me wanna cry.

Do most tvs fit most wall mounts? i've got the cord/cable thing figured out, just scared about hangin it.

52" is probably too big for you, I'll trade you for a 42", and even help you install it.

Yeah you need a wall mount, and make 100% sure you are in studs on both sides. I mounted mine, and then was able to hold my whole bodyweight up from the mounting bracket. That made me feel safe about hanging the tv.

Make damn sure you hit studs when hanging the mount.

Bingo, 2 studs, some heavy duty screws and you could hang your whole family from that mount. Or apparently one brianhos.

The best there are. I've done a 50" Pioneer plasma on a dual arm and 24 or 26" Samsung LCD on a single arm. Of course, without hitting the studs, it won't hold ****.

funny thing is we havent finished out basement yet, and were planning on getting like a 42" when it was done. but we found a great deal, and my wife said lets get it lol. i almost fell over in shock haha
