Don't get too concerned about how far it is from dorm to class. Its when you have one class in Dairy Industries, and the next in Town that things get iffy.

I lived in one of the Towers they blew up and had 8:00 a.m. Philosophy in the Meat Lab, of all places. That was a hike.

One advantage of old RCA is close to the stadium/Hilton. Towers was close to nothing, except the baseball field (and they no longer have a team) and when they had cows out that way to milk for work study. I guess the ice arena is out that way, if you do intramural curling or something.

Which is awesome fun and everybody should do it!

I know this thread is about Welch, but what is Roberts like? I'm an incoming freshman, and that's my assignment.

Where in Roberts? I can tell you the retention rate of the floor you are on and the kind of people that live on each.

It is probably a 15 minute walk at a strolls pace from Welch... I know of several engineers who stayed in MLW and the Welch area for 4 years.

This. I lived on the top floor of Welch. I had several engineers on my floor and I don't remember any of them whining about the walk.

If you live in Birch-Welch-Roberts you will most likely have a sister floor over in Oak-Elm. I would definitely reccomend going to the activites that they put on. Also if you are in to partying make friends with people who live in Willow or Larch, since BWR is all guys it's not the busiest place on weekend nights.
