How many points is a blowout?

Back before the adoption of the 3-point field goal in 1986, we considered a margin of defeat of 20 points or more a 'blowout'.

My question for us fans: Is 20 points still considered the threshold for a blowout?

My opinion is its still the same. (Blowout>=20 pts.)

1-5 = coulda/woulda/shoulda game
5-10 = close game
10-15 = still in reach
15-20 = bad game
20+ BlowOut!

This grading scale should be taken into consideration at the end of the game and also 2-5 min. before the end (I've seen several close games where the score turned into a "blowout" when teams broke down to fouling in order to make the other team shoot FT)

It depends on how and when the 20 is scored. If a team is down 10 with a couple of minutes to go and starts to foul, the lead can quickly escalate, especially if the team that is down starts to look for the 3-ball. I think 20 is a good place to start but won't always say that is an automatic whoopin'.
