How I Met Your Mother

Wowzers. I wasn't ragging on you for liking the show because I do as well. I can admit though that it's just a really really bad show. I mean I got super addicted to the show and have seen every episode (excluding the newest season) but it's kinda like being addicted to cigarettes. They taste horrible and can be kind of okay when your drunk but for some reason you just keep coming back for more. It always seems like a great idea when you haven't had one in a while but then you smoke a whole pack (or power watch a whole season on netflix) and you feel like you just dramatically shortened your own life.

That's any long-running show. Even the ones that start out pretty good, if they end up popular enough to run a long time, by the last few seasons you end up hoping they just stay watchable until the end. HIMYM isn't a bad show, but it is past it's prime. In 2 years we'll be having this discussion about New Girl. In 3-4 years we'll be having this discussion about Brooklyn 9-9. The only reasons this discussion doesn't come up more about Parks & Rec is that not enough people watch and Amy Poehler is a national treasure.

Maybe this whole story is an elaborate way of telling the kids about him and Robin getting together. Maybe in 2030 something's happened with barney too. I mean sooooo much of the story (probably too much) has been about Robin.
Surely his ***** has fallen off.

Yeah not necessarily a personal attack, just a general rant against haters. So many people feel the need to wizz on everyone's parade.

"That show is terrible."
"Do you guys believe zombies are real or something? LOL!"
"I hate lame sitcoms."

BLAH EFFIN BLAH!!

Just ticks me off. I agree that HIMYM is not nearly as funny as it was in the first few seasons, but I'm invested. I still enjoy the show and I want to see how it ends.

What did everyone think of last night's episode? Wasn't as good as some of the others have been lately but it still furthered the storyline.

In all honesty, I thought this show ended last year. I suppose it's another case of running too long.

I liked it. They're tying the loose ends together well, and it really brought Marshall and Lily back to the couple that they're supposed to be on the show.

Hearing how similar Barney is to Robin's dad was a nice little touch.

Parks & Rec was getting way too feel-good in Season 5, and just starting to lose it's touch for sure.

And this is coming from a guy with a Ron Swanson bust on his desk and the Pyramid of Greatness hanging behind it.

I think they've done a good job correcting course this season. After a couple years of leaning to far into "Leslie is amazing and everything she touches is gold" they've pretty much had the rest of the town reject everything she's worked for this year. Frustrated, not-always-pleasant Leslie Knope has been a nice change of pace.

That being said, they've basically run out of stories to tell unless they relocate the show away from Pawnee after this season, which I doubt they'd be willing to risk this late in the game.

AHHHHHHHHH!! Two new twist ideas! If I knew how to do the spoiler box I'd say it. Instead, white font.

Well that idea was wrong.

First impressions, I'm not a fan of it ended and as the finale went on I could that something like that was going to happen.

I don't know how I feel about it. It was not at all what I anticipated going into it...

I don't feel like it was a proper ending to such an awesome show.

As soon as Barney and Robin got divorced it was pretty obvious how things were going to play out.
