Spoke to Boomer Saia yesterday for what was one of my favorite stories I've gotten to write. The turnaround he has led and is leading is insane. I hope you all enjoy it:

Thanks for the write-up. Did you have a chance to ask him about facilities / are the improvements moving forward by Ames Racquet and Fitness?

Really great article. I know the non-revenue sports don't pay the bills on here, but it was really fun to reads about.

Interesting that he recruited so heavily outside the US. Gymnastics tried are version of that strategy too for the last 5-10 years, but with results that weren't as great as tennis.

The "special teams" quote might be one members of the football program should pay attention to.

It's been the formula for women's golf to. Makes sense, the best women golfers in the world are from Korea, China and Southeast Asia.
