I trust fred, he knows wayyyy more about basketball then I could ever imagine. However, why not start Morris? The only time our offense has looked good in big 12 play is when he's in. Naz and Thomas are solid but not starters.

I thought matt Thomas was going off tonight according to the sunshine and rainbows coalition?

I like Morris coming off the bench and playing 25 or so minutes a game. In saying that Fred came shift the starting lineup all he wants, but he needs more production out of those not named Kane, Hogue, Ejim, and Niang for this team to reach it's full potential.

You have to find some outside shooting somewhere in the backcourt and the best options are Thomas and Naz, we really need them to step up and hit some shots going forward. Monte is going to be an all conference PG in the future as he continues to develop his shot, with the poise he already has, but still think we need a shooter with that last starting spot and Monte is great off bench.

How does Naz only have 2 FG attempts tonight? Guy has been money in Hilton and we desperately needed someone to dial it in from three. Boggles my mind. Oh well!

I thought he had transferred to kirkwood where he belonged according to the doom and gloom coalition. God forbid a freshman struggle.

I will guarantee any guard from kirkwood college could have gone 1-5 from the field and 0-1 from the free throw line while guarding Brennan Greene...a guy who averages 2 points per game. He guarded Wayne seldon some as well....seldon led the jayhawks in assists tonight.

he wàsnt why we lost by any means. We lost because niang and ejim went 8-33....which as I said vs OU...if you are not going to recruit centers, and trot out 6'7" guys who can shoot....they better make them because you know we are going to get shredded inside when they get the ball.

All I know is a shooter isn't gonna shoot his way out of a slump sitting on the bench. I thought Thomas played good help defense. He was far from our biggest problem on the floor tonite. And I think you are overestimating the talent @ kirkwood.

Ehh...yes and no. I mean he guarded Brennan Greene a lot who averages 2 points a game.

totally agree he was not remotely the reason we lost tonight. IMO ejim and niang cost us the game. They got dominated defensively and were atrocious offensively

Kane and Morris are the only 2 that deserved to start. Rest of the team was ****.

It is true that one of our starters had an unexpectedly poor game, but you have got to give Kansas credit. They are playing like national champions now and we had very little time to recover from a tough loss in Oklahoma. We needed to have another big who could step up and give George some rest. He seemed like he was exhausted. DeAndre was hurt and played like an absolute warrior as did Dustin. Melvin and Monte also played a good game. Lack of depth, inability to hit the 3 and free throws seemed to hurt us tonight. Let’s give the team a little time to rest and recover. Then, I think they will bring it at Texas.

I hadn't paid any attention to the Thomas/Long/Morris discussion until the last two games. Morris should absolutely be starting. We start off games and 2nd halves by digging ourselves a big hole without him and it takes tremendous effort to get back to even. That also keeps Edozie and Percy on the bench because we are scrambling to stay in games. We just have to get off to better starts and I think it's clear that Morris is more effective.

Box score analysis leads to this...honestly Kane had the game we al hoped for. He just didn't get the support we've had all season. I wonder if KU is just a bad matchup, they're Baylor but with an excellent coach to mold the raw talent.

I really didn't see this "great" defense people are claiming that Thomas brought tonight. Also, I am not one that have been baging on him either so no need to accuse me of that.
