I believe so.

If it crosses the goal line, it's a touchback and is spotted at the 20 (even if the LOS on the kick was outside the 20).

Really? I don't remember that ever happening, that seems like a pretty dumb rule.

It sure is. If it's an auto-touchback, why not just give the kicking team one point ('cause they really tried) like in the CFL?

Another dumb rule is for excessive celebration they take away your touchdown and spot it at the 15. Talk about dumb.

In high school football, is a missed field a touchback?

What? a missed field...(goal?)

The answer is Yes and NO. if it crosses the goal line, it's automatically dead - Touchback.

if he kicks a say 50 yarder, and A guy catches is at the 2, the ball will be spotted at the point where the guy who caught it is tackled - (say 15 yard line)

Finally if the ball is kicked, lands at say the 10 yard line and rolls dead at the 2 yard line, the ball is dead and it is a touchback. First and goal at the 20 going the other way.

In other words. If you kick a 50 yard field goal and miss it, the worst that can happen is the other team gets it at the 20 (if missed).

Yes that is for sure the rule. It is basically looked at the same as a punt, as long as it gets into the endzone it is ruled a touchback basically and brought out to the 20

Yes, it's a touchback if it crosses the goal line otherwise it's a live ball just like a punt Van Meter attempted a 90yard FG against Madrid a while back.ended up rolling into a 70+ yard punt.

Sorry, but that is not correct. A field goal is a scrimmage kick, just like a punt. Only difference, a field goal can score 3 points, a punt cannot. If you attempt a field goal and it doesn't cross the goal line, the ball would be put in play at the point it became dead. Also, most high schools follow what is called NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations).
