Handyman Recommendation

Just curious if anyone has had someone do work for them and were happy with that work. I'm going to be doing some laminate flooring, along with new carpet on stairs (may or may not have the handyman do the carpet depending on comfort level), some light drywall, etc. Had back surgery so I'm not up to doing it myself by the time we want it done.

Handyman Matters. Look in the yellow pages - they're great and have many skill sets.

I had Nebraska Furniture Mart carpet and tile my newly finished basement. Quality work at a good price in my opinion. Also, Flooring Gallery did all of my warranty work on my new home, and I was happy with the work they did as well.

Do they have their own installers or contract it out, just curious, although hopefully that'd be a good indication that they have some sort of quality control.

I second Handyman Matters. We had some problems a couple winters ago with ice dams. Didn't know that was the problem, the guy came out, showed me what to do and it was fixed in less than a minute. Also had a drywall problem where water was getting in, and he showed me how to do it, so I bought a kit for a couple bucks and did it on my own.
Never charged me a thing, just told me to pass his name on. I have been sure to do that.

You could try this guy. I've never seen him charge anyone for his services and he seems to be able to get any job done in 15 minutes.
The only drawback is his talking tools.
