I forget what they did the last time we had gameday here for a basketball game. Do they let people into Hilton early or have a pep rally or something for it?

What's hilarious (or sad actually) is that while Game Day will be in Hilton that morning, the actual game is scheduled to be on ESPN+ so only a small portion of the country will see it. That is, unless they move it to ESPN2 or somewhere else.

I went last time and I believe we had a late afternoon tip against Kansas that day? They cleared Hilton after the show was over but this time our game starts just after the show so probably will need tickets to the game to get in this time. I think with the gap between show and game last time anyone could come for the show portion.

Curious on how they do the set up with the game starting immediately afterwards.
Guessing they don’t have the normal “student section” background since the seats on the sides will be occupied by season ticket holders.

Sort of confused why Gameday is coming for the TCU game, unless these are scheduled some time in advance, unlike football.

That's dumb af. But still neat they're going to be here. Today would have been a better day.
Honestly didn't know they still did basketball GameDay. Seemed like a bigger deal back in the day.

I’ve never watched Game Day for basketball. My seats are in the eighth row of the upper level, so I doubt my presence will be important for support. Is there a reason to show up to watch this? Will lots of people be showing up two hours before game time?

Yeah I honestly didn't know basketball GameDay was still a thing until a couple weeks ago but I'd show up if I had the opportunity to. It's kinda nice the game is at 11 so if you do attend GameDay you won't have to wait all day for the game.

Will be interesting to see how they setup this time. Last time the show was 2 or 3 hours long and Fred was our coach. They also did some kind of taped portion the night before in Johnny's with an interview with Niang and a small crowd of fans. We didn't tip off till like 5pm I think so Hilton was open to everyone. The setup in the corner of the court in front of the visitor bench and it was first come first serve seating so everyone filled in that corner of the lower level so my guess is we had only a few thousand in attendance? I need to go back through my photos and find the ones I took that day. With the live show 1 hour before our tipoff I hope everyone arrives early and we have a packed house for the live portion as the crowd noise and a 360 shot of Hilton would look awesome.

March 1 with AZ would have been way better. Hopefully AZ is ranked pretty high by then (and obviously ISU too).
When I first heard of GameDay being the TCU game, I checked schedule and thought how Arizona would've been much more sensible choice. But SEC has at least two "biggie" matchups on that date (can't recall exactly which teams without further search), so maybe ESPN wants ISU as host site, but had to choose an otherwise 'meh' weekend.

Beggars can't be choosy, of late. Glad they are coming.

A good rebound from the last 3 games would be nice. We need a win! Hopefully we can play very well while getting it.

Personally, I have little interest in anything gameday, but this is a good marketing opportunity and I suppose the students like.

Although I don't care for gameday, one potential positive: It seems like the team has been really grinding hard, and lost the ability to have fun playing. Maybe gameday will invigorate their sense of fun in basketball.
