Forcing ads into everything.

This came up a bit in the game day host thread, but I'm getting pretty annoyed at the ads for everything. If there is a square inch of space there's an ad. A fun or light-hearted activity during a break? Ad. Posters and marketing material? Ad.

Everyone needs money, of course, but it seems like the purpose of football now is to sell ads and everything else is secondary. And on top of these ads, we're now expected to give even more money to collectives and NILs.

One final thought.... Please, please please don't START a TV timeouts after an injured player gets up. Nothing pisses off my section more than the player walking to the sideline and then the TC timeout guy comes out.

You know we are 1-2 years or less from having to play the players right?

If you want to enjoy football for football's sake, you pretty much have to watch high school at this point. The college football TV experience is awful right now from ads to bad hosts to networks blatantly catering to the SEC/B1G.
My favorite is when ESPNU gets a matchup between schools like Akron and Toledo only to spend the entire halftime show talking about what teams are going to make the CFP. It's insanely bad.

A TV producer I know said halftime shows on networks are almost always the same for games and they record or cut in as needed based on varying game times

It's not just football, I attended a concert a couple weeks ago at Vibrant in Waukee. I got a survey the next day that was about 50% asking me if I was more likely to buy all these "brands" that were advertised at the venue.

I didn't pay one bit of attention to any of them. I'm kind of old school I guess in that I go to concerts to listen to music, not switch my cell service to Verizon.

You should say, I avoid the ones that advertise at places.
