What's the best option for moving your profile, apps, settings, data, et al. to a newer Galaxy model? I've only ever used Google's option for this, but was thinking of trying Samsung Smart Switch instead.

What's the general consensus on which is better at getting everything moved over? Any other tips and tricks would be appreciated as well. I really hate switching phones with all the settings I've changed on my old one.

The store did it for me when I was there buying the phone.

Smart Switch seems to take care of everything. It gets my apps, settings contacts, text message history, files, etc. Can hardly tell the difference between old phone and new phone when you get done.

I still use Google for the cloud. Pics backup automatically to Photos, and I keep any important files on Drive. But I don't really view that as a phone transfer feature.

Thank you and everybody else. Smart Switch it shall be. If it can get most of my settings, that'll be fantastic.

I did smart switch in 2019 and it worked very well. Glad to know it's still the best option cause at 5.5yrs I'm hitting that time.
