It would seem to be good manners to ask their opinion.at what point do sponsors like this start meddling in the firing and hiring of coaches and ADs?

That's exactly the way this is, and will, be heading in the coming years. At what point do we just scrap the whole concept of "college athletics". Just make a new level of lower level professional sports, go independent of the universities, and be done with it.

We're already there. They just need the universities for the tax shelter.
Memphis to the Big 12?
this is an underrated commentIf it’s anything like their parcel delivery service, the money will show up late (or maybe not at all!)
Are you hearing this Pioneer!!! Time to step up!!!
Pioneer isn't an Iowa company...
You are being sarcastic right? How soon before we start seeing sponsor company logos on college uniforms?
Maybe not, but they benefit from ISU research and hire a heck of a lot of ISU graduates.Pioneer isn't an Iowa company...
Maybe someone could talk Rockwell Collins into donating. They receive a lot of ISU grads.Maybe not, but they benefit from ISU research and hire a heck of a lot of ISU graduates.
I men for it to be bigger than the team logo. Similar to Euro soccer leagues (not the tiny patches college teams wear). You are being sarcastic right?
Half of it will turn up missing, like my order with two new cell phonesIf it’s anything like their parcel delivery service, the money will show up late (or maybe not at all!)
I've been to memphis probably a dozen times and don't remember ever seeing vols gear on anyone. I wonder if the distance apart is a factor. tennessee is a long ass state. That's a 6 hour drive if you don't hit traffic in knoxville, nashville (always bad), or memphis. plus knoxville is in a different time zone. not exactly an easy "hey let's go to a vols game".I was kind of surprised when I went to Memphis on a business trip how popular Memphis hoops is. I figured it’d be grizzlies and Vols football but really felt like Memphis hoops was the main team of the people.

I usually see a blend of Memphis, Miss St, Ole Miss, and some Arkansas thrown in.I've been to memphis probably a dozen times and don't remember ever seeing vols gear on anyone.
