FAWCast question

Well into the last FAWCast Chris said we basically only lose Willie Harvey on defense and should be top five in the country, not just the big 12. Can anybody, or even Chris, specifically, make sense of that? Peavy and Payne are huge losses and weren’t even mentioned. I love Harvey but they are bigger losses. Or at least comparable. I know we have some nice players behind them but the loss of those 2 guys seems very discounted by that statement. Is there that level of confidence in their replacements that I’m not aware of? I certainly have a ton of confidence in our DC but top five seems like a stretch when you lose three wonderful starters. 2 of which are GREAT. Mark agreed with him without batting an eye so I must be missing something.

It looks like the 37:50 mark of the podcast.
I’m having some serious sleep issues so this thread probably wouldn’t normally exist. Maybe I’m crazy.

I wouldn’t rely on the FAW as your main source of info. They don’t get too in-depth.

I think this was just a slip for CW. I’ve heard him mention Peavy and Payne on KXNO.

I feel pretty confident in the replacements for those two though.
Young has shown he’s a solid corner. Anthony Johnson has played this year as well.

The safety spot is in good shape with Eisworth, Lewis and White.

They were actually being quite serious. Huge games must have an effect!

When you are in the Big12, secondary will always be an issue no matter how good you corners are. To me the most important part is the front 7 and stopping the run to make a team one dimensional. We will have a dominant front 7 next year.

My fawcast question is:
What did the Baylor QB say to get ejected?! @ChrisMWilliams said Jack Whitver heard it on the sideline and told him and that it indeed warranted a penalty. You can’t say that and then not say what he said. Let us know!!

I think the main takeaway is we lose a few key players but have a lot of pieces returning and they will all be one year bigger and wiser. We should be really good!

He's not going to tell us but my guess is plenty of colorful, four-letter words were spoken.

More important FAW Cast question: does CW know that Ebaum's world was actually an extremely terrible site which literally stole all its content from other content creators? As in, they took content from other sites, added their own watermark and monetized other people's content without credit or royalties. Eric Bauman was sued for millions of dollars.

Probably slipped his mind. Peavy is a huge loss, but the good news is Datrone Young and Anthony Johnson have both been playing a lot, and playing pretty well.

He wasn’t commenting on the merits of the site, he was saying it was a place to go to watch videos on the internet prior to the YouTube juggernaut.
