ESPN 3 skycam

So ran across this the other night on espn3 during the Pac12 champ game. It was similar to the Thursday NFL game 2 weeks ago, it was a view only form the wire running sky cam. Best part there was no other audio voiced in except what its mike picked up!

I personally thought it was great, closest view to being in the stands. Id never seen this on espn3 before., will be looking for it more often.

They also do the “behind the basket” camera for some college basketball games. That’s how I watched the Indiana-Duke game and it was great. It felt like being at the game - you could really hear the crowd noise. I hope they do a game like this at Hilton.

Edit: It’s called “Above the Rim” and ESPN does it for both college basketball and NBA games. They will be having that camera view this Tuesday for the Gonzaga-Villanova and Syracuse-UConn games

This thread deserves more replies. Definitely better than watching a game with Matt Lauer or a former Bachelor actor doing the commentary.
