I wouldn't say that. Prohm is always said to be really honest with kids. I think regardless of what happens, he's gonna tell recruits that if they come in and if deserve to start they will. I don't think he's out promising playing time.
Lard will remain one of my favorites. If he didn't transfer twice in high school I think he would have been a solid #5 top 100. Here is a partial list of schools that made him offers or were going to make offers before ISU signed him

I'm amazed at how many people are making starting line-ups when we haven't signed any transfers yet. I guess it's a good way to pass the time in the off-season but I wish we could fast forward to the time when we know who ISU is getting.
Yeah I wish we could fast forward to the first weekend in September, but this is all part of it.
Recruiting is one big crap shoot every year. Beyond Prohm and staff, nobody knows who's going to sign and when. Additionally, nobody knows who's going to start after losing all our seniors. Might be fun to speculate but at the end of day from recruiting to playtime remains a crap shoot for the CF gurus holding the crystal ball.
I think so, or at least means he gets the nod if it's close. Even if he's not getting starter minutes there's recruiting value in being able to point to him starting Day 1.

I think Juiston's timeline could be big. We land him and that makes us more appealing to Egor.

well given that like half the people on here forget that Jakolby is even on the team, yeah, I'm sure some people would start to freak out, lol.
Little strange to visit him again after he was just at OU last weekend as I am not sure what else you could pitch him on.
Could mean Lon is sensing they are falling behind in his recruitment and wants to make sure he doesn't commit to Florida and/or take a risky visit to Ames or he is sensing that Egor is close to being a sooner and putting on the full court press to get him to announce before ISU. I Egor makes it to Ames I would view Prohm as real threat to have a commitment.
