Everything I said was true. I also said I support Fred's decision. Glad it's working out.

I think what we have learned is that winning solves a lot of problems. But also that a coach showing respect for his players makes things better. Hoiberg shows Kane respect and then Kane shows his team respect. I have no idea what really went on at Marshall (and I doubt that you do either...you have one side of the story), but the worst thing you can say about Kane at Iowa State is that he is really fixated on winning. He praises his teammates. He works his *** off (the poor guy was pretty much exhausted on Tuesday night, but still managed to jump higher than I thought he could to grab a rebound late). Publicly, he is an ideal teammate.

Agree. I think there are some guys that just play with a lot of emotion and Kane is one of them. It can be good or bad and he's made it be all good so far this year.

Why does everyone want this kid? 3star outa HS, kicked off (or asked not to return) of Marshall, missed his first year because of grades (and then managed to graduate easily). Played poor teams and when played decent teams, got killed. cant shoot FT, cant shoot 3's, poor fg%. Wears a high number (#50) as a guard which makes me think that he might be crazy.

Does everyone just go crazy over a high PPG average?

This should be quoted.

You looked pretty silly in this thread. It happens, especially with the whole "hindsight 20-20" thing, but to make a point of coming back to the thread and act like you were right is pretty outrageous.

to be fair...I think everyone here has now learned to trust Fred. On the outside and looking objectively Kane didn't look like a great target ...However we all know that he is a GREAT player and exactly what this team needed.

So, IMO, banging on posters with 20/20 vision is a bit rough.

by the same token, so is banging on prospective players before people really even have a clue.
