Whatever happened to the concept of dead week? It is Thursday and in the next two days i have two presentations and a test. I thought this week was intended for studying purposes? Maybe I am wrong, but this is frustrating me.

Amen...I had three professors one semester schedule their 3rd test during dead week. Their reasoning was that it is "dead week" and you shouldn't have any other tests to study for this week.
On top of this, I'd have the comprehensive finals early the following week.
Ah....the joys of being an engineering student.
God damn, this has been the longest week of the semester. I have a final tomorrow, thank god its only my HRI class but this week has just blew.
Dead week I think means you'll be "dead" by the end of that week with all the final projects, assignments, exams, etc. everyone seems to pile on to you that week. I usually thought that week sucked more than finals week because at least I had time to study for finals on finals week and I did not during dead week because I was too busy with everything else that was due.
Has dead week ever been truly 'dead' at ISU? I know a couple years ago they finally made it policy that professors could not give new projects or have tests over new material during dead week. I think this means they're only supposed to be able to give finals in lieu of a test during finals week or have projects due which were assigned earlier in the semester. Not too much solace, but I always preferred finals during dead week as opposed to finals week....less information in 50 minutes as opposed to 2 hours.
