@CycloneFB: Cory Morrissey: "Irving is a great player, so with him moving inside will allow us to have another great player on the field." #Cyclones
Sounds like he wasn't gonna play at DE much... Which is great that we have guys better now than a starter last year.

I think a 6' 7" dude that can at least hold his ground in the middle is more valuable than a 6' 7" guy on the edge who can't get to the qb before he throws the ball even if unblocked.
Wow. Just how slow do you think he is?
Apparently he missed the TCU game last fall...
My only point was there is a lot of green between "fast to the quarterback" and "can't get to the quarterback even if unblocked".
He really, really, could've used a redshirt.
Gotta agree. People thinking that moving a 6'7" DE that weighs < 280 lbs to interior DT less than three weeks before the season starts is a positive development is a stretch. Sounds like staff thinks there are legitimate depth/injury issues at DT. Not good news.
Well no, except in 2005. Then you have to go back to the seventies.Did we before Rhoads?
Unfortunately, I think you are right. Occam's razor on this one.
