Didn't see a current thread on this so here we go. We are currently up 9-4 thanks in part to finally winning over the Hawks in football. Football is a three-pointer and other sports are 2 points each. With football and wrestling we've been spotting the Hawks 5 points each year which is sort of offset with us pretty much getting 6 back from cross country (mens & womens) and volleyball.

This season most of the games/matches are in Iowa City. Iowa won last year in spite of it being a "home court" season for the Cyclones. Historically the series is tied at 9-9 with one tie.

Big week for the Cy-Hawk with three competitions in the series being hosted by Iowa. Win two and we assure a win for the trophy this year.

We'll obviously be a big favorite in MBB with our #3 ranking. I see the WBB game as a pick'em, similar rankings and a history of not playing great in Carver (eight game losing streak there).

Not sure about current swimming and hopefully someone can weigh in. Seems historically they dominated but we've won some recently in the series.

This series idea is kind of interesting, but the fact that there is essentially no balance to home and away events has typically resulted in the home dominant team winning most years with just a couple exceptions.

Also not sure why the extra weight for football in what is supposed to be an overall athletic department competition. Football has its own trophy and really brings the bragging rights by itself, no need to weight it here.

ISU 11 - Iowa 9 after we grab two points for MBB and lose 4 in WBB and Swimming.

Three competitions left to determine the winner. ISU needs to win one for the overall win while Iowa needs to sweep.
